LauraLaura has recently decided to move forward in her professional endeavors, leaving Blue Lotus Tribe to make time for life's larger pursuits. We wish her nothing but success and happiness.

Laura Riebock has always loved to dance. Her formal training began at age eleven, when she enrolled in her first ballet class at Gould Academy of Dance Arts in Elgin, Illinois. Soon after, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip-hop, and modern become part of her repertoire. At age fifteen, Laura began substituting for several dance classes and later became a regular teacher. She continues to teach various styles of dance to all ages and levels.

When Laura turned sixteen, she discovered the art of bellydance at the Centre of Elgin. She started with Egyptian Cabaret and later added American Tribal Style. A few years later, Laura became a member of Christina King's student troupe, Lotus Bloom.

Shortly after turning eighteen, Laura began taking salsa lessons and joined the Boogie Down Salsa Steppers; a dance company in Elgin. Through this group, Laura was introduced to AfriCaribe. With this organization, Laura started participating in Bomba dance and drumming.
As of fall 2007, Laura began training with Blue Lotus Tribe and became an official member in spring of 2008. She is very grateful for the opportunities that are presented to her by this troupe and hopes to share many years dancing besides such talented performers.
